It's Addicting
Even though I know in the back of my head that most reality tv shows are scripted and not really "reality", I'm still addicted. I watch a lot of reality shows such as Keeping up with the Kardashians, The Hills, The City, The Real World, Jersey Shore, and probably a lot more. I think that even though I know they're not real and that they're all scripted I like to believe that it's all real while I'm watching it. I get caught up in all the drama in other people's lives when watching these shows that I actually believe it's real and wait to watch the next episode because I can't wait to see what happens. I think a huge part of the reason I start watching these shows and become so addicted to them is because of the media. I mean I don't even know why the Kardashians are famous or Snooki from the Jersey Shore but the reason I started watching their show in the first place was because they were always all over magazines and tv, and now I love them because they're so entertaining to watch. That sounds weird, but I know a lot of people feel the same way. I think the media is to blame.

I agree completely. I have a friend that is on the newest real world show and she has told me that they wouldn't let her say a lot of things like that she had a brother. The director tried his hardest to control what was going to happen in each episode. But even though its is all staged it still is hilarious. Reality tv gets the views to feel like they really know each character. WIth the media taking over today society I feel like if you didnt know who the Kardashians are or The Situation people will think you are living under a rock.
