Not a Fan

I've never been a fan of reality TV. I just don't see the amusement of entertainment of watching somebody else's life. Especially when its not really their life. You can only tune the camera out so long, you can only ignore the pressure so long, and I cmon, you definitely don't forget about the microphone thats wired under your shirt 24 hours a day. Its only so "real." You have to remember its their show. The "star" shows you what he/she wants you to see. They don't put it all in their for your viewing. Its just overall not as real as people think it is.

Reality tv and regular tv shows are both meant to entertain and draw in viewers. I'm sure the producers tell the reality stars what to say and do but i think people watch it because they want to believe that the people and situations are more real than the fictional characters you see on say gossip girl. I agree that it's not as real as some may think but it's entertaining nonetheless.
