Shows like American Pickers on the History Channel are trying to lure in an older audience mostly men between the ages of 45-60. I think this is true because my dad loves to watch this show. People like my dad become infatuated with this show because I think they like to see the hosts uncover cool old things that remind the viewers about their past. The hosts of the show also make it entertaining to watch when they try to haggle prices low enough so the can buy the old treasure. It is also funny to watch when the owners of the old memorabilia refuse to let any thing go. Some people are so stingy its funny.
