Scripted?

Whether the world 'reality' is in the title, when it comes to TV shows, they are almost all scripted in one way or another. The minute the camera goes on, the members of the show become extremely conscious of what they say, do, act, etc., and try to make themselves as appealing (or unappealing depending on their role in the show) as possible. I once watched the "Behind the Scenes" episode of "The Bachelor", and even the cast members were shocked to find out how scripted the show really was when they began filming. The producers would make them say and act a certain way, and even try to stir up drama by going from one cast member to another saying things like, "Hey, so-and-so was saying how much they hated you," and then that person would run to the other to start a fight, of course with the producers up and ready to film the drama.

I agree. More than the viewer realizes, these shows are steered in the exact direction that the producer wants. If it was not, no one would want to watch the show. And all these shows are is entertainment that brings in money.

Yes, I agree with you. Looking at the behind the scene features on other shows you can definitely see just how much of the events that go on are really scripted that you didn't think were scripted when you were watching the show. It just shows how the producers only care about the viewer ratings they get and the money that keeps piling up in their pockets.

It's true the producers of every reality show influence the dynamic of the show itself. It's their artwork and they mold it to their liking whether its causing drama or a different spin they decide to add. It's understandable because those types of shows that are full of drama are in high demand and only the most action-packed ones stay around.

I completely with you. Especially on shows like The Bachelor the drama is portrayed worse than what people how would actually act in real life. So it's definitely planned out to be more entertaning.

I agree with you when you said people on reality shows try to make themselves appealing. It is so true in almost all reality shows. The cast of reality shows always try to act like something their not.
