Roadies is an Indian Reality TV show. It starts out with auditions for people who are going to be part of the acutal show which consists of how many ever people the judges see fit for the show. The auditons part of the show is my favorite because it basically consists of the judges ripping the contesntants apart about anything bad they have written on the forms that they have submitted. It is really funny to watch.
1. The purpose of the show is to entertain. This is clear by the episode i have given you. The man in the audition(although you may not be able to understand him). He is made fun of for his lack of general knowledge and this is quite hilarious to viewers of the show.
2. The intended audience is really anyone who would find the show funny. But the actual audience ends up being teenagers/young adults because of the people on the show being of the same age and the humor being one that the youth can associate itself with.
3. The author/speaker is MTV India. This is important because MTV India almost always does youth centric shows.
4. The show is almost a game show because after the auditons you have to perform rigorous tasks in the actual Roadies.
5. It is not complex, especially if u have seen a show such as American Idol which has the same judging techniques. But they do try and do stuff differently every season so its not the same.
6. The background music is also very youth centric and everything else is as well.
