Treasure Hunting

I think the audiece for shows like Storage Wars are older people who live a lifestyle like the people portrayed in these show. Hoarders and people who are into collecting things could be targeted by these shows. This genre of RTV reaches out to it's intended audience by trying to relate with them. Selling and collecting certain items relates tih their audience. I think these "trash to treasure shows" are starting to become popuar because more and more are starting to like watching these types of show. It's different than your average RTV show which is why these types of shows attract a lot of attention.
