Jersey Shore Analysis

I decided to analyze an episode of Jersey Shore because it is full of different plot lines and issues that can be further analyzed.
http://www.mtv.com/videos/jersey-shore-season-2-ep-25-a-house-divided/1660103/playlist.jhtml#name=shows
1) The purpose of this show is to entertain the audience. I know this because it is aired on MTV which is a tv station whose main goal is to entertain its audience with drama-filled shows. The show itself has no educational purpose and is not meant to inform the audience and a particular issue/topic.
2)The target audience of this show is teenagers and young adults and this is consistent with that actual audience of this show. This age group is the audience because the cast of the show are young adults and it focuses on topics such as drinking, partying, and relationships. All of these topics are watch most young adults in the real world face so the audience can somewhat relate to the cast of the show.
3)MTV is the station that endorses this show which is important because that tell the audience that this show is meant for young adults and there are not educational benefits that will be taken away from watching the show. Like I said before, MTV is a station for pure entertainment.
4) This show can fit under many different genres, but two main ones are drama and entertainment. It fits under drama because there are always fights and tension between the roommates and other people that appear on the show.
5)I think the plot of the show is partially complex because it is following the lives of seven different people living in the house and shows all of the issues that they have to deal with. The show continues over a series so story lines are followed throughout the whole show making the plot a little more complex.
6)The font, filmstyle, and music on the show make it have a tone that is likable for many young adults. The music is very modern caters towards the younger population of people. The filmstyle of the show is very funky and unique which makes it even more likable by the younger crowd.

Nice use of examples from the video provided. The audience id definetly teenagers and young adults. Maybe explain why older people do not enjoy the show. Is Jersey Shore just entertainment or is there educational value? Overall good analysis.
