This episode of Rob and Big is just another day in the household of Rob Dyrdek, but this day happens to be "Meaty's" fourteenth birthday (2nd in dog years). This episode shows the preparation and execution of the best doggy birthday party ever along with Big Black "going green" and starting to use and reuse food oils to run his car.
1. The purpose of this show is to entertain, not much else can come out of having a birthday party for a dog, or deciding to go green with your car.
2. The audience of this show is teens/young adults and skateboard enthusiasts who like Rob Dyrdek, or just anyone who enjoys the spontaneity and enthusiasm of Rob Dyrdek.
3. MTV runs this show which right off the bat tells you that it is intended for teenagers and young adults.
4. Rob and Big is just the everyday life of two individuals doing random things such as breaking world records, having a birthday party for a dog, and lots of pranks.
5. The plot is just spontaneous, whatever Rob wants to do, yet each episode always seems to have one central task to expand upon.
6. The overall tone of the show is definitely geared towards the teens with the ever so often use of profanity along with the music, and for the simple fact that it airs on MTV.
The overall tone of the show is lighthearted because Rob is a kind individual and usually tries to help someone else in each episode, even though he does tend to play a lot of pranks, especially on Drama, his cousin/personal assistant.

I like your last litte paragraph mentioning that Rob usually tries to help someone. I think that is important to mention. They do have a lot of fun on the show but it also demonstrates that he is a good person too.
I agree with you when you said that any show aired on MTV automatically is intended for young adults and teenagers. The tone and purposes for all of the shows especially rob and big is intended towards the younger population because of what the purpose of the show is and the different topics that the show covers.
I definitely agree with all your points. Rob and Big is a really entertaining show even though its just about the lives of two people doing random things. I know I used to watch it and find that through all the random things Rob does, he always find a way to make you laugh while your watching.
I agree with what you said about the plot. I feel like each episode has a general idea, but is subject to whatever Rob feels like doing. This show is really fun to watch.
