Trash to cash

Americans are progressively enjoying more of these trash to treasure shows because we are always growing more and more nostalgic for our past. We see a toy or trinket that we remember having as a kid and think back to our childhood. We always idolize our childhood regardless of how good it actually was. to quote Patrick Rothfus on nostalgia "The Beer was always better, and the roads less bumpy." We also enjoy finding out the actual value of certain items from our past, and we especially enjoy it when these items are worth an exceptional amount of money. I Also feel though that we really hope we get lucky one day and strike gold while rummaging through the trash. Finally we learn how to properly barter from shows like American Pickers, & Pawn Stars.

You make good points, Zack. It's always nice to reminisce about past possessions. You can bet I'm still holding on to my old Pokemon cards in the hopes that they'll be worth something, someday.

This is so true, people need things to take them back to when they had the best times of their lives. I always love reminiscing on my past and bringing up/ trying to redo them.

I agree with you when you said people idolized their childhood whether it was good or not. Everyone including myself like to think about their past and reminisce on some the enjoyable parts of their past.

I have a dubbed copy of the movie"small soldiers" just because it was so culturally representative of the 90's. :D if you go on youtube and just type in "small soldiers movie part 1" you can watch the movie in parts.
