Trash to Treashure

The target audience for these type of 'discovery' shows seems to be creative and adventurous people, kind of like how the main characters are. With the economy how it is, people are trying to be entrepreneurs and initiate a career in something never though of before, people want to be unique. These trash to treasure shows are a way in which these people make money from other's waste, which sounds like a good business to me! I think the intrigue caused by the show is what makes it entertaining. As I watched the intro to the first episode of this show I wondered "where are they going to look for trash?" and "what do they do when they find these 'treasures', do they build something or what?" So all of these things draw my attention to the show even though this is the first time I have ever seen this subgenre of reality TV.

I agree with the target audience and what makes the show so appealing. These "treasure" shows are very entertaining because what we might consider trash is actually valuable. Part of us wants to dig through our attic, our closet, or even a dumpster to find something of value, and these shows provide us with just that.
