Treasure Shows

Trash-to-treasure shows are definitely becoming a big hit on TV. This comes to no surprise however, because of the state that our economy has been in the last couple of years. Everyone is looking for away to transform something drab into something awesome at the cheapest price possible. These types of shows are intended for a more adult/mid-aged audience, but are also becoming popular with younger viewers as well. These shows reach out to their viewers by showing them ways to be resourceful, and exemplify the popular saying, "one man's junk is another man's treasure." I think these shows are interesting because of the all of the cool stuff they find or make, and it keeps viewers interested in what they will do next.

You have a good point about the economy playing a key role in trash to treasure type shows. A piece of trash to one person can be transformed into a valuable item for someone else.

Yeah, i agree with the whole economic situation having effect on the popularity of these types of shows.. But then again, everyone wants to see a good deal no matter what state the economy is in; i think that whole concept is what makes these shows so exciting and interesting
