Big Difference
Well Sister wives is very different then The Girls Next Door, clearly. Hugh has all these girls who really do not even do anything but live the life. On the other hand, you have this unique family that not many people are used to seeing. It is interesting and I am intrigued to see how the three wives and their children live together like that. Even though they have their own places I would think some jealousy would be floating around because their is only one husband. But that is my assumption, but girls next door is not really a relationship thing to me its just a pimp who happens to be very rich and has many "girlfriends".

I dont understand how that family isn't dysfunctional like every other normal family. I can't see all the wives getting along when they live in a different house, and all those kids would put so much stress on the 5 adults. Whats the point in getting married to that one guy if your going to live somewhere else?
I agree with your oppinion of The Girls Next Door, Hugh is just the man so it makes the show interesting and entertaining to watch. where as Sister Wives is more of a documentary and informative type of show. i too am excited to learn more about this family and how it works.
I agree with your opinion of Sister Wives. It seems impossible to me that there would not be constant jealousy and competition, from everything from who looks the best to whose children are the brightest. It just doesn't make sense to me and I could not imagine what type of women would want to be married to a man who already has three other wives!
It's because of the cameras. People act differently when the cameras are turned on and if the goal of the show is to show polygamous relationships in a good light, they will act that way. I have never been a fan of this genre of reality TV, because it isn't really real, it is pretty much scripted. That's why there is no dysfunction in the family.
