Changing the world one episode at a time?

I found World of Jenks to be interesting and a nice change of pace from reality shows such as The Jersey Shore. The episode I watched was the second episode of the season where Jenks visited an autistic man named Chad. He spent a few days with Chad, attending school with him and trying to understand his daily struggles. Despite the difficulty he had at first understanding Chad's world, Jenks made it his mission to connect with him and expose him to some new exciting experiences. Through hits and misses, such as taking Chad to New York City where the noises were too loud for him, Jenks managed to make a difference in Chad's life, and Chad made a bigger difference in Jenk's. From what I've seen, the shows purpose is to give the audience a look into the real lives' of people outside their bubbles. It seems pretty similar to True Life however it focuses on making a difference in peoples’ lives. The show is a complete opposite from the Jersey Shore. It focuses on a different side of people, rather than aiming to entertain through mindless stupidity, it shoots to teach a lesson and open peoples’ eyes. Watching the show provided me with a sense of gratefulness for all that I have and an admiration for the brilliant Chad. We commonly overlook people with disabilities, or stare at them like they are aliens but the truth of the matter is, most people with disabilities have huge hearts and minds. Jenks succeeded in exposing just that. I think that World of Jenks will become a big hit like True Life and that people will watch it. After all, I know I will if I see it’s on T.V.
