So the Emmy awards were last weekend, and there are a few award categories devoted to reality tv. Do a little internet hunting and find out what those categories are. Note the nominees and the winners of these categories. What type of reality shows seems to take the cake? Note the genre of reality shows that are habitually nominated. Why do you think this is? Do you think that there is such a thing as an "elite" rtv category? Why or why not? Could Jersey Shore or Real Housewives ever win an emmy? Why or why not?
