World of Jenks

In the episode of the World of Jenks that i saw he visited a man named Chad who has autism. He wanted to see what it was like for a man his age to live with autism so he went to live with him for a short amount of time to see how he functions i everyday life. He discovered that the everyday trials someone has to go through is 10 times harder for a person living with autism. it was an eye opening episode as you get to see how much more difficult it is to do chores and simple things that someone wouldn't even think twice about doing. In school Chad learned how to call 911 and had a class about doing household chores. You see how Chad is very sensitive to smells and noises when he becomes extremely agitated at the bell at his school. This show is a lot more different than a show like Jersey Shore because it actually reveals intense issues that people have to live through. It's more of a documentary than a reality show and it has more of an intelligent vibe than regular mtv reality shows. I really liked the show because it was eye-opening and inspiring to see how Chad had such a great attitude about life but still had to go through more hardships than most people. Great Show!

Yes this episode was good very heart renting watching everyday things seem like such a hassle. I agree with you the show is very different then other reality shows and it really opens up eyes for many people who do not know what it is like to be one of these people he follows for a few days.

I agree with you Krista. Mr. Jenks had a change of heart with Chad. During their time at the beach, Jenks taught Chad how to overcome fear and strive to achieve anything he wants. Even with autism, Chad still had a personality and love for many things, just like every other ordinary human. Jenks saw how open-minded and loving Chad was and his whole aspect of this disease flipped upside down. Jenks gave us a closer and personal look at autism so we can understand just how great these people really are and not retarded, as society pictures them as.
