Sister Wives still just TV

I think some people are taking this show just a little too seriously. Although it does reflect some real-life situations, it's just TV. This type of entertainment will always exist just to entertain, not to force an opinion upon us. It's okay to comment on the lifestyles presented in this show, but there's no need to passionately defend or attack what the show presents. It's there merely for your viewing pleasure. Again, I am aware that some families in our society consist of multiple wives married to one man, but that's not to say Sister Wives is an accurate representation of this lifestyle. Watch the show for enjoyment, not to debate about real-life issues.

Exactly! It's just TV. Even if it's called reality television so much of these shows are cut, edited, and planned out way ahead of time. The purpose of television is purely entertainment, and what's more entertaining than controversy? That's why everyone's so obsessed with reality tv . . . it's more like twisted reality.

That's a good point. But TV influences society and if shows like this continue, relationships like this will soon be acceptable to more people. I personally find it disgusting so I hope our society never comes to that.
