the other side of the Jersey Shore

I want to pose a harder question about Jersey Shore...Is there any chance it might be offensive? to New Jersey natives? to women? to Italian Americans? If not, why not? What makes it ok to show men and women acting out physically and sexually? Does a show like this condone outlandish behavior? Glamorize violence or sex? If it is offensive, is it ok that we are entertained by something that could possibly offend? where should we draw the line?
