Jon Kate and Eight

The premise of the show was to let the whole world see just how crazy it is ,for the life of Jon and Kate, to manage eight kids by theirselves everyday. Family to them is the idea of everyone sticking together as one force and helping one another as they all continue to take steps forward in the world. They protray a traditional family structure Because the oldest kids has the most responsiblities with all the other brothers and sisters. They have to help out with the leaders mom and dad around the house with chores and instigating rules. The general audience for this show is parents. It really can be for everyone, but Kate and Jon show parents just how crazy life can get with so many kids running around, the frustrations the couple has, and the fact that no matter what they always get through each day together and stick with the family as a whole. The show is in hopes of other parents can take after these main points, form Jon and Kate, in raising a successful family and marriage. You can clearly tell the show is not staged. During each day, Kate and Jon get interviewed a few times about certain things that happen each day, but each scene is chaotic and doesn't show a real script to it. I mean how can you control eight kids ages eight and under years old. They really do show how insane eight kids are together in the house everyday, but they illustrate how in the end, seeing the kids grow up is all worth the hard life of a parent.

I agree, I think that the show Jon and Kate Plus Eight is a really good example of reality t.v. putting an emphasis on family life. During each episode I had watched you always see the family together. It seems like a lot of work especially for Jon and Kate who have to make sure they pay attention to each child and leave no one out. It definitely is a model show for parents and families in general that feel like their lives are insane.

You make a good point about how it's hard to stage eight small kids!
