Wife Swap

Wife Swap takes two families with different stereotypes and switches the moms. They definitely do stereotype but it is kind of necessary to keep the show entertaining. In the episode I watched they swapped a somewhat normal family with a really weird one (they thought they were witches/wizards).

The women on this show are portrayed in many ways. In this particular episode both of the wives continuously fought about their role in the family. These fights with their husbands sometimes show how they're inferior to their husbands. In one of the families, she makes all the food, does all the chores, gives her husband foot massages, and doesn't control any of the money. Her husband says he expects this from her. In the other family, however, the wife runs the house.
