Wife Swap

The show Wife Swap has been around for a long time, and for as long as I can remember I have never been a fan. I just can't get my head around the idea of taking a "Mom" or "Wife" and bringing her into a strangers home to take care of someone else's family. Especially in most cases these wives get treated horribly by the men and children they are forced to live with.
I'm not sure if it would be considered a stereotype, maybe more biased to the fact that the woman of the house should be the one to cook, clean, take care of the kids, etc. In all of the episodes I had seen the husband who lives with the swapped wife makes her feel unwelcomed and never wants to put up with anything that she enforces. In the end most families appreciate what they had been taking for granted.
As a whole, the show does portray people in very stereotypical ways.

This show does portray many stereotypical situations because of the wives they switch. They group the opposite families together to make it more dramatic. The most portrayed stereotype would be that the wife is needed only to cook, clean, and take care of the kids.
