Wife Swap

I feel as if the show doesn't utilize the normal moms, or normal parents, in general society. They grab the most polar opposites and stick them together, which makes for great drama. But what if they were to swap the lives of two normal American moms and see what the outcome was. Would nothing happen? Would the spouse or children prefer the new addition over the old? Would similar drama occur as before?
