Wife Swap
Wife Swap is a unique show because families switch wives for two weeks for some prize money. The show relies on stereotypes to make the show more interesting. They would wife swap a black family with a white wife to make it more dramatic. Maybe the producers thought that this will cause some tension for the family and the wife. Also, they are very stereotypical of women. Many wives are the typical house mom that takes care of the kids, and house. Usually, they switch wives according to opposite. The Imani family are black vegetarians, who have professional careers, are swapped with a white family that eats very unhealthy. This shows that the typical African family aren't who people think they are.

I agree with Brian. The show is fueled off of stereotypes based on each show. They present two exact opposite families that will not go well with one another. Each show simply presents the attitudes towards one stereotype towards another because society today has lead us to believe all these actions are true. By presenting an odd vegetarian black family with an unhealthy white family will meet conflict simply on their eating habits and their ethnicity. Each has a totally different lifestyle that does not agree with the other much at all.
